Orbital Confusion reaches version… um… 0.1
January 5th, 2009At least you can navigate it properly, now.
Right, code folio and art portfolio are up, I’ve converted the text version of my games programming resume to .doc, instead of .rtf. Now I just need to put my Thesis up, methinks. Except I’ve got to take a quick dekko at whatever laws apply. I’d like it if people used my idea in software, but I’d also like a credit at the very least…
In other news, I’ve re-jigged the css for the site back to displaying properly in Firefox. I really must figure out how to hand IE one stylesheet and Firefox another…
Website now mostly functional
January 5th, 2009Weird differences discovered between Firefox and IE
Okay, finally got the frontpage to a satisfactory state in Firefox, and when I load it into IE, I find that IE6 reads commented-out css lines when I’m fairly certain it shouldn’t, and that it (of course) can’t handle .png transparency. How many people use IE6 these days, anyway? I mean, besides people forced to use the computers at Y.E.S.?
(Apologies to Internet Explorer 6 users for the lack of transparency - meaning the pale grey corners - on the sidebars, I’ll see about switching to .gif graphics. Also, apologies to any Firefox users who may see the frontpage as being all higgledy-piggledy. I had to readjust everything so it looked right on the crap computer I’m using. I shall have to look into css interpretation differences between IE 6 and Firefox.)
NEWS FLASH! BRIAN DAMAGE GETS OWN WEBSITE!
January 5th, 2009In the meantime, feel free to check out my IT-oriented resume, my games programming/design resume, or my portfolio. Oh, yes, I need to get a gallery, too. Maybe that coppermine thing, I hear that’s good.
Thanks for reading my webpage.
